Southwell skatepark has had a much needed Betongpark make over. Located on the site of the previous pre-fab facility, the new concrete park sits proud, with nods in the design to Southwell’s history and inclusion of many bespoke Betongpark elements.

The design incorporates flow and street sections, which merge seamlessly into one another, giving riders a whole park experience. The flow zone begins with a bowled out mini ramp, extending up the waterfall into the shallower end with bowl corner complete with piano key concrete pool coping blocks and steps. This bowl corner blends into a brick textured China bank and then round into flat bank hip, where the street zone begins.

Sitting centrally in the street zone, is a bespoke ‘Bramley apple’ kicker to kicker gap, finished in green pigmented concrete and fabricated steel faces. The Bramley apple was first grown in Southwell and is featured around the towns architecture, including in the well know Southwell Minster. The street zone is complete with flat bar rail, quarterpipe, ledges and a flat bank.
